- DAILIES Total1® daily disposable contact lenses feature Water Gradient Technology and SmarTears® Technology, which provide a lens surface that is highly wettable,soft, and lubricious.
- DAILIES Total1® is a bi-phasic contact lens with a surface chemistry that is different from the core material. Whereas, traditional soft contact lens materials are homogenous, or the same composition from core to surface. This is important because the surface of the lens is ultimately what interacts with the tissues of the eye.
- DAILIES Total1® outperformed other homogenous lens materials forin vitro lens surface wettability, softness, lubricity, and shear stress demonstrating how different water surface materials are from others.
- Clinical studies showed on-eye benefits of DAILIES Total1® for tear film stability, surface wettability, and comfort. Andex vivo assessments showed that high surface lubricity was maintained for DAILIES Total1® after 16 hours of wear, demonstrating that the water gradient remains intact even after a day of wear.
- DAILIES Total1® for Astigmatism daily disposable contact lenses with Water Gradient and SmarTears® Technologies also feature Alcon’s proven PRECISION BALANCE 8|4® lens design for a stable toric lens wearing experience. They provide a 99% first-lens fit success rate on the in itial fitting with an average settling time of 37 seconds, alignment within 2 degrees of ideal orien tation, ≤ 3 degrees of oscillation with blink, and provide a mean visual acuity of 20/15.
- DAILIES Total1® for Astigmatism contact lenses include Class I UV absorption* and also filter out approximately 33% of blue-violet light (BVL) rays entering the eye (between 380-450nm). **This is a similar amount of BVL filtration over similar wavelengths as Crizal Prevencia^ and DURAVISION BlueProtect^ spectacle lenses marketed as “blue light filtering” lenses.
